ELEVEN lucky employees of firms in North Devon will get an extra day's paid holiday this year.

And one will win a luxurious weekend break at the Woolacombe Bay Hotel.

The winners of the Big North Devon Holiday Break will be chosen tomorrow, March 18.

Eleven firms agreed to let staff pay £2 for a raffle in which the prize is an extra day of holiday.

Anne Tattersall organised the contest to support her efforts to raise funds to buy a mattress for North Devon Hospice.

The companies taking part are: North Devon Journal; Abacus Recruitment; R T Markes Co Ltd; Beran Instruments Ltd; Artavia Advertising; ASDA; Anglo-Krempel; W M Ironwork Ltd; Ilfracombe Food Service; The BIG Sheep; Glover Stanbury & Co.

Anne, who has been fundraising for almost 20 years, has decided this is her final fundraising event and is hoping to crack her £5,000 target before she takes to skies on April 1 with ex-colleague Ali Hunt from North Devon Hospice when they take part in a tandem sky dive.

Winners will be announced in next week's Journal.
