Film reveals Temple tale
ONE of farming's most life-changing stories will be told in a film at South Molton on Sunday.
The film is about Temple Grandin, who as an autistic child was considered brain damaged, but who became a master of animal science and a world authority on livestock behaviour.
Because of her condition she is especially able to recognise how animals view their surroundings.
Her fight for ethical treatment earned the respect of the meat industry.

Temple's journey started during a summer spent on her aunt's ranch, when she became aware of a device called a cattle crush.
She is a writer and speaker on autism as well as farming.
Temple Grandin, the film starring Clare Danes as Temple and released in 2010, is on at the George Hotel, South Molton on Sunday at 8pm.
