Firefighters called to lorry fire on A361 near Tiverton

Firefighters were called to a lorry fire on the A361 North Devon Link Road this morning.

Two fire crews from Tiverton and a Water Carrier from Exeter were called to a report of a lorry on fire at Gornhay Cross near Tiverton at 7.55am.

Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed there had been a small fire in the engine compartment of the lorry which had since self-extinguished.

Firefighters checked the lorry and ensured it was safe.
