Fun family activities in Ilfracombe

BANISH boredom this school holiday with family fun activities at Bicclescombe Park in Ilfracombe.

● Raventales Storytelling, Tuesday August 4, sessions at 1pm and 2pm (no booking required). Suitable for four to 12-year-olds.

● Meet Mrs Recycle: arts and craft activities using recycled materials. Tuesday, August 11, 11am to 3pm, drop-in sessions (no booking required). Suitable for five to 14-year-olds (under eights to be accompanied by an adult).

● Make A Bottle Rainforest with Exmoor Zoo, Monday, August 17, 11am to 3pm, one hour sessions (booking required). Suitable for six to 14 -year-olds.

● Project Dance: free style, street dance, hip-hop and a fun routine. Friday August 28, 1pm - 3pm, four half-hour sessions (booking required). Suitable for five to 14-year-olds.

Cllr Colin Wright, ward member for Ilfracombe West, said: "These summer holiday activities follow on from other successfully-run events during the Easter holidays. I encourage local residents to come along and join in the fun and hope that the programme offers something for everyone. After the activities why not stay in the park, bring a picnic and make it into a day out for the whole family?"
