GPs petitioned by campaigners
A NORTH Devon based pressure group has presented a petition with nearly 5,000 signatures to the North, East and West Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to make clear its concern over the potential damage privatisation could do to the NHS.
The pressure group, 38 Degrees, delegation was led by led by Geoff Barr, chairman of Keep Our NHS Public South-West.
Dr Tim Burke, chairman of the CCG, accepted the petition and said doctors wanted to involve the public in every major decision the group makes.
"There should be a clear line of sight from any patient, via their GP, to the governing Board of the whole CCG," he said.
