Former Barnstaple player John Ovenell rejoins Torrington

EXPERIENCED: John Ovenell was a reliable performer for Barnstaple.
He left Barum at the end of last season and, after overcoming injury, is ready to make his debut for Torrington at Donnacroft on Saturday.
Adrian Avery, the Torrington captain, said: "John has been training with us and I think he wants a bit of a run-out with his brother (long-serving Torrington forward Rob Ovenell).

"I don't know his long-term plans but it's great to have somebody like that around the club.
"He is so experienced from his time at Barnstaple and he will be passing that down to the youngsters, which is fantastic for us.
"He's going to be rusty but at this standard he's going to be a big plus for us."
