Giddy and Schofield in Tamar Cup squad

NORTH DEVON pair Neil Giddy and Mark Schofield have been named in the Devon squad for Sunday's Tamar Cup clash with Cornwall.

Barnstaple fly-half Giddy played a key role in Devon's 13-11 win at Okehampton last year, making two try-saving tackles.

Bideford full-back Schofield's call-up is reward for his prolific form this season. The speedy youngster has 17 tries to his name.

They are joined in the 24-man squad by front-row Sam Roberts who is on loan at Barnstaple from Cornish All Blacks.

Plymouth Albion fly-half Max Venables, who had a brief loan spell with Barum last season, is also involved.

Sunday's match will be played at St Ives, kicking off at 3pm.
