BRIDGERULE super-sub Matt Gliddon rounded off a 5-2 win against Merton in the Hutchings Cup quarter-finals.

For the fourth time this season he stepped off the bench to score.Mark Barlow's far-post header was the pick of the goals. Dave Youldon (two) and Scott Wilson completed the job. Simon Cottle and Toby Skinner replied.

In the Hodgson Insurance Kingsley League, Holsworthy edged an entertaining derby against Bradworthy 3-2.

Dan Hughes fired in a free-kick and Shane Dilling doubled the lead before Chris Haxell's surging run restored the Magpies' two-goal cushion.

Brad stayed in touch with a penalty from Toby Curtis and a late strike from Jim Francis.

Spencer Phillips hit his first goal in men's football as Black Torrington beat Kilkhampton 4-0. Dan Andrew, John O'Donoghue (penalty) and Richard Smale got the others.
