TWO hairdressers from Barnstaple will be dressed in gold cat suits during their run in the London Marathon.

Rachel Higgs and Kerry Whitefield are aiming to raise money for the Exmoor-based Calvert Trust through their entry in the race.

The girls have chosen to dress in gold because they work for Golds Hair Salon.

Calvert Trust Exmoor is an outdoor activity centre predominantly for people with disabilities.

Activities such as horse riding, carriage driving, abseiling, climbing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, archery and orienteering are all offered at the 40-acre moorland site.

Rachel and Kerry have set an ambitious target of raising £10,000, which could be spent on new equipment and bursaries for disabled individuals.

The girls were recently given a tour of the centre on Exmoor by trustee Brian Sherwin and saw visitors using the zip wire and the climbing wall.

You can sponsor the girls by visiting them in the salon or e-mail fundraisingexmoor@calvert-trust.org.uk.
