PCSO for Holsworthy, Emma Tomkies, said: "Over the two events we organised we had many people visiting wanting their valuables marked. We will be planning to hold these sessions again.

"It is important that we mark items of value. They can then be returned if found lost or stolen.

"Many items handed into police or found after being stolen, we are not able to return as there are no identifiable marks on them. If there is a postcode, or some sort of unique marking on them then it is easier for us to identify an owner."

"We were also booked up for various home visits to mark other larger items that were not brought to the station and also advise on home security."
