Homeless man is held over arson at house
A homeless man has been remanded in custody after appearing before Exeter Crown Court accused of setting fire to a house in North Devon.
Samuel Oates, 29, did not enter a plea during the preliminary hearing in front of Judge Graham Cottle.

Oates, who is of no fixed abode but whose last known address was given as Church Lane, Barnstaple, is accused of arson at South View Terrace, Bideford.
Judge Cottle adjourned the case for another hearing and no date was set for an Exeter Crown Court trial.
