HORN mavericks Brass Jaw offer a fresh take on seasonal songs at the Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple on Friday.

The jazz quartet, renowned for their trademark charisma were the winners of Contemporary Band of The Year and Album of the Year at the Scottish Jazz Awards in 2011.

Brass Jaw are Ryan Quigley on trumpet, Paul Towndrow on alto saxophone, Konrad Wiszniewski on tenor saxophone and Allon Beauvoisin on baritone saxophone. The band believes that their music should be as engaging, entertaining and humorous. The four horns working together, combine in a set embracing the jazz tradition while reaching out into the unknown.
