AN EXTRA-TIME winner from Tom Hunnibell sent Braunton through to the Combe Martin Cup semi-finals after they were given a real scare by Landkey Town.

The Journal League Senior Division leaders were cruising when Louis Murrell and Ben Green gave them a 2-0 half-time lead. But two goals from Claudio Pinto levelled things up and Landkey almost snatched a third when Kieran Heywood hit the bar.

Runners-up for the last two years, Braunton will aim for a third final when they face Shebbear United.

After coming from behind to win their last five games, Bratton Fleming made the mistake of scoring first against Shebbear. Marcus Mahoney broke the deadlock midway through the second half before United clinched a full-blooded cup tie with late goals from Chris Pomeroy and Greg Mitchell.

The commitment from both sides was summed up by two players with the same name.

Shebbear's Adam Payne led a sturdy visiting defence while his namesake Adam Payne played well in goal for Bratton in his first appearance since breaking an arm last season.

Six goals each sent Northam Lions and Chittlehampton through to a semi-final meeting on March 27.

Rob Crump and Andy Fee gave the Lions a 2-1 half-time lead against Kilkhampton and their progression was never in doubt after Brian Levine struck twice in a minute.

Fee and Matt Cloak rounded things off after an own goal kept Kilk in touch.

Mark Millichope's strike separated Chittle from North Molton at the break and they eased clear thanks to Marc Palmer, Kevin Latham and a hat-trick from Ciaron Lishman.
