The yellow-graded ice weather warning is in place for the majority of Devon from 9pm this evening until 10am tomorrow.
Forecasters are expecting temperatures to drop below zero overnight and confirmed there is a possibility of snow on higher ground across the region.
A Met Officer forecaster said: “Showers coming southeast across the area tonight will fall as snow above about 200m, where more than 5cm is possible locally. More significant is the risk of icy roads as surfaces freeze behind the showers.
