THE "IDLE Parent" himself, Tom Hodgkinson, is putting in an appearance at Ilfracombe Library later this month.

Author Tom, who lives locally, writes for the Daily Telegraph and has a series of popular books to his name, on the theme of idleness.

They include How to be Free, How to be Idle and, most recently, The Idle Parent.

Tickets for the event, which takes place on Monday, March 15 at 6pm, are £2, available from the library.
