Ilfracombe Town aim to stretch unbeaten home run in Western League

ILFRACOMBE TOWN will look to stretch their unbeaten home run with three games at Marlborough Park in a week.
Ross Middleton's side have four wins and a draw from their last five home fixtures.
They can make it eight games unbeaten as they host Radstock Town on Saturday, Willand Rovers on Tuesday and Gillingham Town on Saturday, November 24, all in the Toolstation Western League premier division.

Middleton, the manager, said: "I keep banging on that I want to make it a hard place to come. It's a bit of a journey up the Link Road for teams to find Ilfracombe and we have always prided ourselves on being tough to beat at home."
Cribbs Friend Life were the latest victims, losing 2-0 in the Les Phillips Cup on Saturday. Ilfracombe had to be patient to overcome their first division opponents with both goals coming in the last ten minutes.
"Defensively we were excellent, we never looked like conceding, and we got there in the end," said Middleton. "Our final ball wasn't brilliant, especially in the first half, but we kept doing the right things and got the result."
The surprise was that it was full backs who got the goals when they came.
Gary Skinner headed in Billy Tucker's corner, then Scott Huxtable broke forward to take a pass from Tucker, cut inside and smash home his shot to make Ilfracombe's place in the last 16 secure.
Ilfracombe will be away to Larkhall Athletic in the second round of the cup on February 9.
