Ilfracombe to host ‘Party on the Pier’ to celebrate Verity’s illumination
Ilfracombe will celebrate the switching on of Verity’s lights this evening in a special ‘Party on the Pier’ event.
The free event, which will feature entertainment from Heart FM, runs from 6pm until 8pm.

Hundreds are expected to turn out to witness the official switch on of the newly-installed lights to illuminate Damien Hirst’s controversial statue.
Local businesses have also donated more than £1,000 for a fireworks display, which will take place after the official illumination.
