Kingsley School Judo Club's Clara Gawlas is Devon youth judoka of the year

CLARA GAWLAS has been voted Devon youth female judoka of the year for 2012.

Clara (pictured), a 15-year-old member of Kingsley School Judo Club, finished last year ninth in the country for the under-63kg cadet class and was the only Devon female with a top-ten British Judo Association ranking.
She produced a number of fine performances, including winning a silver medal at the Welsh Open in October and narrowly missing out on a medal at the British Schools Championships, finishing fifth. Clara also helped the Devon girls win gold at the area team championships.
