Our Lady's Catholic Primary School in Barnstaple to become an Academy
OUR Lady's Catholic Primary School in Barnstaple is set to become an academy at the start of the next school year.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Plymouth has contacted the Department for Education to let it know its plans for eight Catholic schools in Devon, of which Our Lady's is the only one in North Devon.
Devon county councillor Andrea Davis, lead member for children and health, said: "I wish Our Lady's School and the other Devon Catholic schools every success in this venture.
"The bringing together of these schools will enable collaborative working, continuing the excellent cooperation on a Devon-wide scale.
