The landslip wasn't blocking the road and crews felt sandbags already securing the previous landslip would hold the bank in place.
There is also flooding on Braunton Road near Chivenor Cross which is causing traffic delays.
Traffic has been forced to slow in the area near Chivenor roundabout thanks to surface water, causing tailbacks.
Fire crews are currently at the scene pumping water from the road into the River Taw.
The River Caen has also burst its banks, despite recent flood defence work.
