Late entrant takes the trophy
SNOOKER
PAUL SANDERS, from Clovelly Social Club, became the second winner of the Joe Burslem Memorial Snooker Tournament, beating Chris Curtis 3-0 in the final.

The tournament, which included 32 players, saw some fabulous snooker with former winner Nick Kenny, Gary Tubbs and Sheridan Tetley all recording 50-plus breaks. The winner of the high break prize, sponsored by William Hill, was Lee Halling with 96.
The two finalists only dropped five frames between them all day.
