GOALS from Shaun Lewis and Neil Bettiss saw Ilfracombe Town secure a 2-0 win at Larkhall Athletic this afternoon.

Ten days after their Les Phillips Cup exit at the same venue, Combe produced a dominant second-half display.

Striker Lewis ended a run of seven games without a goal, breaking the deadlock four minutes after the restart.

A freekick from Karl Baggaley deflected off the wall and Bettiss headed across goal for Lewis to spin and ram into the roof of the net.

Defender Bettiss made the game safe with another close-range effort 10 minutes from time.

Darren Parish's corner caused problems and Bettiss blocked an attempted clearance into the net off his shins.

With leaders Bideford beating Welton Rovers, Combe have strengthened their grip on the second place.

The Bluebirds host Brislington at Marlborough Park on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Ilfracombe Town: Steve Oliver, Karl Baggaley, Darren Parish, Neil Bettiss, James Mayne, Ross Middleton, Mike Hedden, Jon Vooght, Leon Taswell, Shaun Lewis, Lee Langmead. Subs: Tom Rossiter, Steve Holland, Lee Francis.
