Ilfracombe's RNLI launched a lifeboat to help a boat which was in distress this afternoon.

Coastguard's received a radio call at around 5.15pm to assist a small 4.2 metre rigid inflatable boat (RIB) with two casualties on board.

They explained they had broken down about four miles off the coast of Ilfracombe and were drifting out to sea.

Ilfracombe's all-weather lifeboat was sent out to find and rescue them.
