Litter pick fills more than 80 bin bags
MORE than 80 black sacks were filled with rubbish after more than 120 people attended a spring clean on Northam Burrows earlier this month.
The event was organised by Northam Burrows ranger Sarah Fairbairn.
Plastic bottles and lids, four odd shoes, watches, fishing crates and nine car tyres still attached to their hubs were just some of the items collected.
Students from Kingsley School and Petroc in Tiverton were among those who got stuck in with the clean up.

"Thank you to everyone who contributed."
A report on the future of Northam Burrows, which is owned by Torridge District Council, is scheduled to go before the council's community and resources committee on Monday.
