Local man arrested following two-vehicle crash in Barnstaple
A man has been arrested following a two-vehicle collision in Barnstaple.
The head-on crash occurred near to the Co-operative store on St George’s Road just before 1.30pm today.

Following the collision between a silver Hyundai Atos and black Isuzu Trooper, a woman was taken to the North Devon District Hospital with chest and whiplash injuries.
Police arrested a 23-year-old local man at the scene on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified.
St George’s road was closed in both directions between the A39 Pilton Causeway junction and the Raleigh Meadow junction for several hours.
The road re-opened shortly after 4.30pm.
Police and the Highways Agency remain at the scene and vehicle recovery is underway.
Motorists are advised to approach the area with care.
