THIS Christmas, as a little nod to Charles Dickens' 200th anniversary, The Lord Basil Reformers will be turning themselves into members of the Farndale Avenue Townswomen's Guild. As such they will put on The Farndale Avenue Townswomen's Guild Dramatic Society's Production Of A Christmas Carol written by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Junior.

It promises to be a brilliantly funny presentation of Dickens' rather more serious classic – where everything that can go wrong does go wrong.

The production is at Pilton Church Hall, Barnstaple, on Friday, December 21 and Saturday, December 22, 7.30pm. Tickets: £5 from Pilton Stores or The Reform Inn or on 01271 378168.
