NORTH Devon MP Nick Harvey says he will support plans for a new local radio station.

He said: "What Heart does, it does extremely well but it has ceased to be local in any meaningful sense. The final nail in the coffin will come shortly when they pull out of North Devon altogether.

"I think those who used to appreciate Lantern FM would still appreciate local radio in North Devon if that could be made a practical reality. I'm right behind it."
