Magnificent Minis do it again
HUNDREDS of Minis spent three days touring North Devon to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Organised by the North Devon Register Mini club the annual event, now in its 16th year, raised £21,581 this year.
Event spokesman Terry Baker, of Bideford, said: "More than 250 Minis turned up and we had a really good time.
"For the first time we organised the camping and everyone was in the same place up at The Big Sheep and we had a big do on the Saturday night which everyone could enjoy because we were all camping there."
Money from the event goes to Children's Hospice South West.
And the hospice was the last port of call for the drivers, who came from all over the UK, before the event closed.
Mr Baker said: "All the drivers and their passengers put on fancy dress and we drove to the hospice and along the drive and back out again, led by about 30 motorbikes. It's really something to see and the children love it."
