Male driver suffers memory loss after collision on the A361 North Devon link road

A man was taken to hospital after his car veered off the A361 North Devon Link Road on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash at around 12.30pm following reports a car had left the road at Clapworthy Mill.

Police said the green Volkswagen Transporter was travelling towards South Molton when the driver suffered a ‘medical episode’ and crashed near the West Buckland junction.

The driver did not remember anything about the crash and was taken to North Devon District Hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.
