Man charged with theft after Barnstaple teenager's laptop is stolen on Tarka line train
A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a theft on a Tarka Line train.
Barnstaple teenager Naomi Williams reported her laptop, hard drive, school books and wallet stolen after they went missing while she travelled on the Exeter to Barnstaple train on Wednesday evening.

The train’s conductor told police he saw a man running from the station with a bag.
British Transport Police today confirmed a man had been arrested in connection with the incident.

Aaron Hoaken, 21 and of no fixed abode, was arrested and charged with theft. He is due to appear at Barnstaple Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 1.
Miss Williams, 18, feared she had lost the items for good until she was contacted by the British Transport Police today who told her the items had been tracked down.
She said: “I am completely relieved and so grateful to the transport police and the conductor on the train who saw the man running away.”
