Man killed in M5 crash named as Daniel Gunn from Tiverton

A man killed in an accident on the M5 has been named locally as Daniel Gunn, from Tiverton.

He was involved in the incident at 6.13am on the southbound side of the M5 motorway between junctions 25 and 26 at Taunton on Saturday.

Two other men, named locally as Tom Pilling and Tom Moyes, were injured in the accident. They are understood to have life-threatening injuries.

Sergeant Jim Whatley, from the Roads Policing Unit of Avon and Somerset Police, said: "This is a serious incident in which a young man has tragically lost his life.

"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who was using the motorway network at this time who may have witnessed this collision."
