A 16-YEAR-OLD boy suffered serious leg injuries after his moped collided with a car near Dolton Beacon.

The boy has been taken to North Devon Hospital after the accident on the B3217 at around 3.15pm yesterday (12-3).

The collision involved a blue Peugeot 405 and a blue Piaggio moped.

The road was closed for a period of time to assist with the investigation.
