Natwest Bank in Barnstaple evacuated and closed due to flooding
Customers and staff have been evacuated from Natwest Bank in Barnstaple after it flooded this morning.
The building was evacuated and the bank has been closed after the High Street property flooded at around 9.45am.
It is understood a hole in the roof of the building caused the flooding. Staff and customers were evacuated due to health and safety reasons.
The entrance to the bank remains cordoned off. The outside cash machines are also out of use.

The bank will remain closed for the remainder of the day.
Stores surrounding the bank are currently not affected by the flooding experienced in the bank.
A spokeswoman for the nearby Ryman Store said: “We are sorry to hear about the flooding at the NatWest Branch next to the Ryman Store in Barnstaple High Street and of course concerned for anyone who is adversely affected by flooding.
“The Ryman store is unaffected and is trading as usual.”
