A NEW attraction near Bideford is hosting a wet and wild fundraising event for the North Devon Hospice next month.

The Ultimate Wipeout course, which mimics that of BBC show Total Wipeout, is offering teams who take part in its charity challenge the opportunity to be among the first to use the all-action facility.

The attraction, located at the Ultimate High Adventure Centre at Abbotsham, is still being completed but is due to open to the public in the coming weeks.

The course features a series of obstacles designed to test speed, skill and stamina including water slides, climbing nets, tunnels, high hurdles, balance beams and of course, the big bouncy balls.

The charity challenge event will take place on Sunday, July 24 for individuals or teams of two or four people.

Teams will have two hours to complete as many laps as possible in the hope of getting the fastest time and taking home the Ultimate Wipeout trophy.

Ultimate Wipeout manager Russ Johns said: "Having worked on creating this course for many months, I can't wait to see people trying it out and having a good time.

"It's the only course like it in the country so it will be a totally unique experience."

Entry to the charity challenge costs £20 per person for bookings made before July 1.
