It was a Nightwalk to remember
THE North Devon Hospice said the event proved as popular as ever, with 1,389 women registered for the walk.
Gerard Fawcitt, from North Devon Hospice's Nightwalk team, said: "We were blessed with the best weather we could wish for. The atmosphere couldn't have been better if we'd staged it. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the evening.
"On behalf of the whole Nightwalk team, I would like to thank all the walkers who created, arguably, the best Nightwalk yet."
Gerard said the event would not have been possible without the volunteers: "Our army of volunteers excelled themselves once more. We are so grateful to them for giving up their Saturday night to help the cause.
"There were many people instrumental behind the Nightwalk scenes and we are particularly grateful to the many local businesses who offered sponsorship or gift-in-kind. We would also like to thank the North Devon Journal for supporting us from start to finish, and providing such fantastic coverage for their readers."
Gerard said it was not too late to raise more money through other events.
Once all funds are collected, the total amount raised will be announced.
If you were unable to walk, or were unable to sponsor a walker, it is not too late to offer support.
Drop your sponsorship money into North Devon Hospice, or send a cheque (payable to Nightwalk) to North Devon Hospice, Deer Park, Barnstaple, EX32 0HU.
