At a meeting of North Devon Council's Executive today it was recommended that the strategy be adopted by the council.

The plan, which runs from, 2012 until 2017, has already been adopted by Torridge District Council.

Councillor Yvette Gubb, North Devon's Executive Member for Community, says: "The strategy has already gone out to consultation, to ask for public opinion on the document, and whether it meets their needs. More than 40 made representations, with their feedback considered before submitting this final document. So, I'm pleased this strategy has been recommended for adoption in North Devon, so that partners have a clear plan to follow up to 2017."
