Adam John Green displays collage and mixed media work with a series of pieces featuring trees, while Alison Nicholson's work expresses her response to nature and the landscape using collage, textile techniques and unorthodox materials.

There are oil paintings from Paolo Ricci whose pictures are infused with traces of 20th century Expressionism combined with the contemporary nuances of the New German School. Visitors can also enjoy exquisite hand-made beads from Manda Muddimer and ceramics inspired by movement and the rhythms of water, by Roger Cockram.

The exhibition includes an interactive community art installation, created by Mandy Biscoe alongside local schools and Appledore Arts Festival. People are encouraged to pick up clay pebbles, which have been laid out in the shape of a river, read them and put them back. The movement of the pebbles by hands will echo the movement of water over the pebbles in a river bed.

The exhibition runs until Saturday, March 2. Catch it at The Museum Of North Devon And Barnstaple between Monday and Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Or at the Gallery Museum in the Queen's Theatre, Barnstaple. Opening times vary. Phone: 01271 324242 for details.
