North Devon missed off Sunday Times list of best places to live
NORTH Devon has been missed off a Sunday Times list of the best places to live in the South West.
Featured in the Sunday Times this weekend, the Best Places to Live list gives details of the most desirable places to live across the country, including the top 12 places to live in the South West region.
But, while South Devon, Cornwall and even Oxfordshire feature, North Devon has been snubbed completely.
Beauty spots such as Lynton and Lynmouth, Exmoor, Saunton and Woolacombe, which was recently voted the fifth best beach in Europe, were not given a look in.

• Wells, Somerset
• Tetbury in Gloucestershire
The Best Places to Live is a two-part guide based on a range of criteria including transport links, quality of schools, natural beauty, crime rates, property prices, cultural life and unemployment figures.
The list has been edited by Sunday Times’ Associate Editor Eleanor Mills.
She said of the list: “Scampering around Britain for my column I find there are particular bits of our crowded island which always retain a particular attraction for people.
“We have built on this basic information to create a definitive guide. The Sunday Times Best Places to Live will prove invaluable for anyone starting a family, retiring, or simply considering a move.”
The feature will run across two weekends on March 17 and 24.
An overall winner will be announced as well as the top ten places across nine regions in the country.
