A BIDEFORD firm has received a £1 million boost after winning several contracts for the new Olympic village in Stratford, London.

TC Office Interiors supplied and installed more than 7,000sq m of flooring, 200 toilets and 120 vanity units at the Stratford City 2012 Olympic village — and completed the job within just seven weeks.

The company also provided lockers, canteen seating and joinery services to construction companies at the site.

Adrian Sealey, managing director of TC Office Interiors, said: "We worked around the clock to ensure the project was brought in on time and on budget.

"We are passionate about our work and to work on a project for the Olympic Development Agency (ODA) was fantastic."

Nigel Thompson, regional operations manager for Waco UK who subcontracted Olympic work to TC Office Interiors, said: "We have used TC Office Interiors on numerous projects and have always found them to be very professional, committed and reliable."

The money earned from the Olympics contract enabled the company to move to its new home on the Daddon Court Business Park.

Adrian added: "We haven't done badly for a business which started off in my garage."
