LEISURELY peruse of contemporary and traditional crafts at The Original Gifts Exhibition at the Plough could be a nice way to while away a Sunday afternoon.

"Over the last few years the Original Gifts Exhibition has become an annual highlight at the Plough and this year we have managed to squeeze in even more stalls," said Pippa Jenkins visual arts organiser.

Hand-crafted prezzies, according to Pippa, have a personal quality.

Much of the work on show is by local artists and craft makers, some are familiar names and some are exhibiting for the first time.
"Crafts include stained glass, fused glass, ceramics, wood tuning, wood carving, driftwood, metalwork, basketry, feltmaking, quilting, embroidery, handknitted goods, beaded jewellery, silver jewellery, recycled jewellery, soap, chutneys, jams, honey, fair trade gifts from India and Africa, paintings and sculpture, and much more," said Pippa.
The craft exhibition runs until Monday, December 24. You can visit from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday afternoons from 2.30pm.
