PHOTOS: Large vessel RIG sails into River Taw before loading cargo at Yelland Quay
These photographs show the first vessel to load cargo from Yelland Quay since 1988 arriving into the River Taw.
The large ship, named RIG, arrived into the River Taw on Sunday before proceeding to Yelland Jetty to load a full cargo of timber. The vessels’ next destination is Wismar in Germany.

It is the first ship to load at the jetty since the Meridian 11 sailed in September 1988.
However, the Arco Dart discharged a cargo at Yelland Quay last year.
