In Barnstaple, revellers packed into the town centre to welcome in the New Year with music and fireworks.
The free event kicked off at 9pm and music was provided by DJ James Chapple, who also had his legs waxed on stage as part of the entertainment.
The Mayor of Barnstaple Lesley Brown then set off the fireworks at midnight.
It was estimated there were a couple of thousand people on The Square, The Strand, Taw Vale and the new bridge who watched the fireworks display.
