THREE members of staff from Marland School have completed the three peaks challenge.

Care workers Ashley Barraball and Steve Close along with PE teacher Allan Craig overcame Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Mount Snowdon in North Wales within 24 hours.

Former Torrington police sergeant, Paul Tyzack, who now works at the school, was the group's driver, but also decided to climb Scafell Pike.

Ashley said: "We successfully completed the challenge within the 24 hours and there were lots of sore limbs on the journey back to Devon."

The men raised funds for Chums, a charitable arm of the school for boys with behavioural difficulties made up of community helpers.
