Peggy Crome wins national triathlon award
NORTH Devon Triathlete Peggy Crome was honoured to receive a national award.
She was named British Triathlon female age-group triathlete of the year at a ceremony in Birmingham and received the award from Chrissie Wellington, the four-time ironman world champion.

Peggy (pictured), from Eggesford, has represented Great Britain, winning numerous world and European titles over the years.
Her most recent success came at the European Championships in Israel in April, claiming gold in the women's 65 to 69 years sprint.

The awards evening at the National Motorcycle Museum was presented by Rob Walker and Steve Cram and had category wins for Alistair Brownlee and Helen Jenkins.
Voted for by members of the British Triathlon Federation, Peggy's award covered all age groups and she came out on top from a shortlist of six.
