The first session was attended by children from Braunton Academy, Bideford College, Kingsley School, Pilton Community College and Ilfracombe Arts College.
They learnt about the discipline and focus needed to become an Olympian.
Charlie Smith, a Petroc sports lecturer who is leading the programme, said: "All the pupils responded incredibly positively and seemed to enjoy the session – we have some serious talent in North Devon."
Future sessions will be held on December 6, March 14 and June 27. For more details, call Rosa Boston on 01271 338112 or e-mail rosa.boston@petroc.ac.uk
