SOUTH WEST holiday cottage specialist Helpful Holidays has announced its sponsorship of Georgina Geikie of South Tawton in her quest for a gold medal in air pistol and sport pistol shooting at the Olympic Games in London in 2012.

Georgina, who is Britain's number one ladies pistol shooter, recently competed in the Munich international airgun competition. She also made British pistol shooting history at the sport's first .22 training session in the UK, the first since the ban introduced after the Dunblane incident.

Helpful Holidays has agreed to sponsor Georgina for a four-year period right through to the 2012 Olympics. PR manager Helen Hayes said, "Georgina is doing a fantastic job! We are so impressed with her determination and focus. We're thrilled to support her and are right behind her attempts for that gold medal."
