Police officers Taser unruly ram to stop it running onto A30
POLICE fired a Taser to control an unruly ram.
The animal was shot with the electric stun device as officers tried to stop it running out onto a busy road.

It was one of 32 incidents last year in which police in North Devon deployed a Taser.
The ram was Tasered after police received reports of sheep on the loose on the A30 near Okehampton.

Police said: "Officers attended and after trying various other methods were unable to contain the ram and prevent it from running into the carriageway, which it did on three separate occasions causing a danger to road users. Taser was subsequently deployed successfully and the ram was secured."
The unfortunate ram was not the only animal to be fired at by a Taser, which delivers a powerful electric charge.
In Barnstaple police Tasered a dog, explaining that the animal was protecting its unconscious owner.
It had already bitten ambulance staff who were trying to administer first aid.
The majority of the Taser deployments were against men, with ages ranging from 15 to 61.
The 61-year-old man was confronted by police walking along the A386 in Merton carrying a petrol can.
Police had been informed he was armed with a knife and on his way to North Devon District Hospital.
After seeing the Taser he complied with officers' instructions that he should lie on the floor.
The 15-year-old had a Taser aimed at him after taking up a fighting stance when police tried to speak to him.
The log records: "Male's eyes became squinted as if ready to attack officers. Taser was aimed to prevent an incident occurring."
Two incidents involved women.
In Barnstaple a Taser was aimed at a 49-year-old woman with mental health issues who had attacked her sister and threatened police with a kitchen knife.
In Bideford police fired a Taser at a 30-year-old woman with a knife who had threatened to harm herself, members of the public and police officers.
