PARENTS have praised the new Braunton School website for helping to keep them informed.

In a survey of parents, around 90% said the new website was a useful source of information in February, only a month after it went online.

Braunton School's new site was designed by a company called Webko and offers various features for pupils and parents.

There are sections for: pupils, the PTA, the student voice, bulletins, news, timetables and exam information including links to previous papers and marking guides.

The website also offers help for parents, a mass of links to educational sites and it is linked to the virtual learning environment for school children.

Headteacher David Sharratt said: "It is an all encompassing site with a bit of everything for everyone. This shows every facet of the school. The old website was rather low key and had passed its sell by date.

"I am really pleased with the new design."
