"I'll have to dust them off and clean them up a bit" said Mrs Spear, who will lead Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall on their flying visit to the village.
"It's exciting and really good news for Braunton.
"It's nice to know Prince Charles is concerned enough to come and visit. He seems genuinely interested and sympathetic."
She said the parish council had been planning the visit for a few weeks. "We've known for a couple of weeks" she said, "We've been carefully planning.
"Although we haven't had all that long we think all the right people are going to be there."
Caen Street will be closed for a few hours while Prince Charles is in the village, with traffic diverted through the Parish Council office's car park.
