BUDE are well and truly on the up after a ten-try thrashing of Exeter Saracens.

They slipped into the bottom two of Tribute Western Counties (west) following a 74-7 defeat to North Petherton earlier this month.

But a 27-3 home win over Wellington and Saturday's 64-20 triumph at Exeter, their first away win of the season, have lifted Bude to ninth place.

Prop Adam Black scored three tries on his return from a lengthy absence with an ankle injury as Bude secured the four-try bonus point in 37 minutes.

Scrum half Steve Yates also crossed and Timmy Green went over on the stroke of half time to put Bude 31-5 up.

Lock Will Kingdon scored their first points of the second half with a try, then two scores in quick succession by flanker Freddie Saxton and wing Green took the Seasiders to their half century.

The rout was completed in the last ten minutes with tries by replacement Kyle Speare and Yates. Dan Pearce converted seven of the tries. Exeter's points came from tries by Kieran Bromell (two), Ben Cowley and Matt Hilton.
